MODEL DESCRIPTION: The Victorinox Huntsman Swiss Army Knife is a popular 4-layer model with basic tools, plus scissors and a wood saw. This is a vintage version from the 1970s.
Almost every tool is different from the current model. This vintage knife includes a bale, solid awl, and Pat on the can opener. The bottle opener has a sharp edge on the inside curve. The scissors have an adjustable screw and squarer arms, and it's attached next to the main blade instead of on the other side. It has a modern style spring, which probably is not original.The small blade is clip-point, and the main blade has Victoria on the rear tang. The grooved corkscrew has 5 turns instead of 4. Instead of a key ring, there is a bale on the end (aka bail or shackle). On the rear is a long nail file with a cleaner tip. The Victorinox Vintage Huntsman knife is 91mm (3½") long, about 26mm (1") wide, and 20mm (0.8) thick.
